Doughnut Walk, Run.

Tuesday is beach day. We have a strict policy that no matter what shenanigans arise (and they always do), whether it be in the form of tears or torn swimsuits, we will go to the beach. It just makes everything better. What's that quote? "The cure for anything is saltwater, sweat, tears, or the sea." No truer words were ever said.

This week the group of mama's we go to the beach with finally convinced me to stop by Sidecar Doughnuts & Coffee first, and I am so happy I did. Sidecar offers gourmet style doughnuts using only the freshest, and typically seasonal ingredients. And the coffee, ohhh the coffee. It's brewed in-house daily, and one cup will make you completely forget about how desperately you could use a nap. Plus, the set up inside and out is as unique and fancy as their doughnuts.

So the next time you're in Costa Mesa make sure you stop by and try one of these yummy treats. Order a coffee too. Because what is a doughnut without a good cup of coffee? Basically just cake in the morning...and no one can justify that. Not even Savannah.
