Just Run With It

When Cory called this morning and said that a co-worker had noticed me on BuzzFeed, I couldn't believe it. It's the first time I've ever seen my name or photo's published somewhere other than my blog. Clearly they were just sighting where the photo they used came from, but I'm going to run with it! Much like Savannah is seen doing here. In a fancy dress. At the park. You know what they say, there's no such thing as "bad" publicity! Or a bad day to play dress up for that matter.
You can check it out via Buzzfeed HERE.
Which basically just features the photo I took a few days back. You know, this one:
Crazy right?! I'm pretty stoked. Even if it means I'm a clean freak. Or an impulsive shopper. Both of which I can neither confirm or deny. Did I mention Buzzfeed has 218k followers? Eeek!

Spring Cleaning | Part II (Cleaning Products)

Part of what I love about the blogs that I follow are the recommendations. Aside from the fashion and home decor inspiration, one of the aspects I truly enjoy is learning about a new product, shop, or tip. So at the risk of sounding like a walking advertisement I want to share one of my new favorite Spring cleaning products. Well, technically one cleaning product and the hand soap I keep next to it by my kitchen sink. You guys, these are so good. They are earth friendly and smell amazing. The lemon verbena dish soap isn't too sweet or overwhelming at all, and the honeysuckle hand soap has literally replaced my Bath & Body Works ones. Ya, I went there...

I hope you enjoy these tips and feel inspired to try something new. Are there any posts in my Spring Cleaning series you would like to see next? Let me know! You can comment below, on Instagram, or Tweet me! My email is hellotohooray@gmail.com if you prefer. Can't wait to hear from you.

Spring Cleaning | Part I (Makeup Brushes)

(Dirty brushes, don't judge)
Welcome back and Happy Fri-yay! As you know I wasn't able to post each day this week, so in honor of the new season I'm going to bring you a fresh series focusing on different tips that help me get my Spring cleaning done in the most efficient way possible. I'll also show you some of my favorite products and how I like to use them.

To kick this Spring cleaning series off I am going to share the updated way I clean my makeup brushes. Cleaning your face brushes is important when it comes to keeping your skin clean. Just think of the dirt and oil they collect, and then imagine stippling that onto your face. It can also help in prolonging the life of each brush, which is crucial if you've invested in nice ones. I've had some of my MAC brushes since 2005!
After a few months of wanting this Sigma brush cleaning glove, I realized I could save a lot of money by purchasing a Cuisinart silicone oven mitt instead (pictured above.) It has cut my brush cleaning time in half, does a waaay better job than simply swirling it around in my palm, and was literally under five dollars at TJ Maxx. I pair it with this Simple gentle foaming cleanser (I am beyond obsessed with this as a face wash too) and have been really happy with the results.

I'm hoping this combo helps keep me on track in regards to cleaning my brushes on a more regular basis, and now possibly for you as well.

T.
