Blanket Scarf

This is an exciting week here at Hip Hop Hooray! I've collected and purchased the items for the Christmas giveaway, and can't wait to share them with you tomorrow. I'm also really excited about the holiday content I'll be bringing you over the next few days...stay tuned!

First up is this casual look that I rocked to Savvy's Christmas program at school. This blanket scarf is seriously my new obsession. It's completely inappropriate for Orange County winters, but I'm pretending it's really cold outside so I have a legitimate excuse to wear it. Who am I kidding? When it comes to a scarf this amazing, no excuse necessary. If you are thinking about getting one, I would hurry. I was lucky enough to score this one just in time, because this style has basically sold out across stores and online.

I also had a few people ask how I styled my knee high socks after posting this photo on Instagram. In addition to wearing them around the house with my flannel pj shorts, I tend to throw them on under my boots, like I did with this dress. It's a easy way to add a pop of color, or cozy up an outfit. Adding them over black leggings and under boots is another go to of mine. I like to keep them thin and simple without patterns, ruffles, or buttons. This way you're not adding to much warmth, and it doesn't distract from the overall look. I hope this helps you figure out how to wear that pair you have in the back of your sock drawer. You know which ones I'm talking about...now go get them.
