 Let's keep it real: Vegas with the babes, tons of help or not (thanks Pop-Pop & Mimi!) is a whole different kind of trip. But if I can keep it 100 with you, I loved it. The car ride is slower, the nights aren't as late, and the mornings come way too early for sin city, but at the end of the day there is no one else I would rather spend my birthday with.

A Look Back at Mother's Day

 Annnnnnd I'm back! Few words can describe how fabulous Vegas was, but before I dive into the details of our trip I want to throw it back to Mother's Day and this beachy/boho look. 

Having these two babes in my life has changed me in a way I think only other mama's can understand. Motherhood is better than I could have ever imagined, more difficult than I thought possible, and filled with more joy than I've ever known before. 

One of the coolest aspects of becoming a mother is seeing your own in a whole new light. After having babes of my own, I really started to see all of the ways in which she gave of herself, her time, and her heart now and throughout the years. I owe everything I am to my mama and I hope to be half of what she is to my two.

Party in the Park

I'll admit it. I never kept a baby book for Savannah or Hudson. I don't have every detail of their development or dates of important milestones written down, but I do have photos. Great photos like this one. Images that will help me remember how brave and determined Hudson was for his first time on a scooter. Pictures that capture the fun we had in the park today, and the sweet friends we've made as of late. And for what it's worth, I prefer it that way. Maybe it's short sided of me, and one day I'll wish I had more written details to look back on...but for now, I'll stick with snapshots like these  to capture the moments I don't ever want to forget.

Date Night | Desert Style

How amazing is this background? I am so in love with these photos and the beauty that is the desert. I also feel like it's probably the only place (Vegas maybe?) that I can get away with an open back swing style crop top.

Lounging

Nothing says rest and relaxation like lounging around all morning sipping your favorite coffee. I'm still reminiscing about the good time we had over the weekend, but what has me even more excited than a weekend well spent is this beautiful new robe. Seriously, it's amazing. Getting ready in the morning just got a whole lot more luxurious thanks to this sweet birthday/Mother's Day gift. Did I mention they make the most adorable little girl robes too?!

The Swim Situation

Hello! So we're back from my early birthday party in the desert and feeling 100% refreshed. It's crazy how two nights away can completely transform your life. Okay, that may sound slightly dramatic, but it's true! After this weekend, I've decided to make a vow to myself, and put more of a priority on rest and relaxation. It's something I tend to overlook on a daily basis, but an aspect of my life that is so completely necessary. Who's with me?
