Throwback

As I was getting ready this morning (which is now yesterday morning) I decided to straighten my hair. For some of you this wouldn't be noteworthy, but since I haven't had my hair this long (or styled pin straight) since college, it made me stop to think. My first thought was, I should never cut my hair shorter than a "lob" ever again. I just don't have the hair type. Or the bone structure. (Ten bonus points to the first person who can tell me what movie that was from.) The second thought I had during my throw back to college moment was, those were the days. The luxury of time made getting ready such a fun ritual. I miss that. I miss taking thirty minute showers, and less responsibility. But since extra time, being carefree, and luxury aren't terms that are typically associated with being a mama, I'll settle on five extra minutes of uninterrupted shower time. It's all about compromise guys, and I'll take what I can get.
