Hudson's 1st Haircut

Hudson had his very first haircut yesterday. It's amazing how fast the second babe seems to grow. Things are just happening a little too quickly for this mama. See for yourself...

BEFORE:
And then a little of this happened, but only for a minute....
 The rest was clear sailing.
AFTER:
Do you experience the same time warp phenomenon with your second babe? Had a first haircut win? Epic fail? I'd love to hear from you! Thank you for reading and have a great weekend.

It's a Paw-tay.

First things first, the giveaway I posted is almost over so make sure to submit all of your entries for a chance to win that gorgeous SUO Boutique bag. Thank you so much to all of you who have already participated. I also want to give a major shout out to all of my new readers, I'm so happy you're here.
Today I am bringing you part two of Zoey's birthday party with an inexpensive tablescape you can showcase for any party or special occasion. I created this for our family dinner in honor of Zoey, but what I love about these party elements is the lack of a strong theme. Using black, white, and gold made for a pretty universal color scheme. Celebrating a birthday? Great. Anniversary dinner? Perfect. The pattern on the mini party hats and pinwheels feel geometric and playful, yet modern and on trend. The best part is I decorated this entire table with items I had on hand (think wrapping paper, my own dishes as chargers, etc.) and a few things I purchased at my Graceland, I mean Target.
Supplies shown above available online: Party hats | Pinwheels | Similar napkins | Matching plates
I made the table runner out of wrapping paper I had left over from Christmas. This is an easy way to bring a lot of color and pattern, without big cost. Measure and cut the length of the table, then cut paper down to fit nicely within the center width.

Zoe Dog Millionaire

For as long as I can remember I was desperate for a dog. It only took me one solid year of married life to convince Cory we needed to move from our one bedroom apartment, to a two bedroom that
allowed pets. Best decision ever. Zoey has arguably been the most loved dog who ever lived. But I'm sure all pup owners feel that way. Few however, throw full blown birthday parties in their honor. Happy 6th Zoey girl.
...and then there was this. Party hat and all. (Where is the emoji with the monkey covering his eyes when you need it?!)

It's GIVEAWAY Time!

Can I tell you guys a little secret? I'm not very good at waiting. I know, it's a horrible trait that won't get you anywhere in life, but I just can't help it. When I found out SUO Boutique was going to host a giveaway for my readers, I couldn't wait to share it with all of you! Well, the big day is finally here and I don't have to contain my excitement any longer. Without further ado...THE BAG:
I photographed this bag with my outfit from yesterdays post, so you could see it in action! You have all seen me rock a very similar style that I picked up from SUO almost a year ago - herehere, and at the bottom of the post here. I love this bag. I mean I really, really love this bag. It's small enough to feel dressy and easy to carry, but deceivingly large on the inside. I don't travel lightly and this bag more than meets my needs. It also comes with a cross body strap which makes it super convenient. An absolute essential for a mama on the go, or just someone who doesn't like to fuss with a clutch or handbag. See below for details on how to enter, and be sure to share this sweet opportunity with your friends. (although on second thought, you might want to keep this one under wraps...better odds!)

As always, thank you for reading, it means the world.

T.

Dressy Boho

Do you guys ever get the feeling you aren't supposed to do something? As in, one thing or another routinely goes wrong every time you make an effort to do it? For us, its date night. I kid you not, every single attempt at date night has been unsuccessful for the last three or four tries. Either one of us gets sick, the movie we want to see is canceled, or the restaurant somehow lost our reservation. It's becoming almost comical. This weekend was no exception, as both Cory and I came down with nasty colds after we had already booked a babysitter. I'm thankful we get the chance to even attempt a date night, but I'm hoping one day soon we can actually enjoy it! Hey, at least I had an excuse to rock this dressy boho look to part one of our date before we called it quits. That's what Netflix is for, right?

Also, be sure to check back tomorrow for my first ever giveaway with SUO Boutique! Trust me, this is not something you are going to want to miss!

Bedtime Favorites

What is it about pajamas on babes that I love so much? Is it that fresh out of the bath, nice and clean look? Or is it the fact that once jammies are on the next step is bedtime? Whatever it is, I am a complete sucker for them. Below I have rounded up my current favorites to share with you! Be sure to pay special attention to number four as a great option for brothers and sisters alike. I know Savvy would get a huge kick out of matching her baby brother come bedtime. And by Savvy I mean me.
One | Two | Three | Four | Five

Tell me, do you feel the same way? Have any favorites you keep going back to? I'd love to hear from you!

Graphic (Tee) Content

Sunday's typically start very early at the Taylor house. We like to get up so we can make it to the first service at church. Even though it's a struggle waking up, having the whole day left always makes the weekends feel a little bit longer. Since Sunday morning does come super early, picking out outfits and packing everything the night before is crucial. It's funny how the babes end up wearing something really similar to what I had in mind for my own look (ex: graphic tee). I have walked out of the house with pre-planned yet unintentional coordinating outfits more than once. Does this matching phenomenon happen to other mama's too? Truth is, I don't mind one bit. A good theme has always been the hallmark of decorating and party success, so why not clothes too?

Bellami Hair

Let's take a minute and talk extensions. I've had three sets over the years, and I can honestly say only one has proven to be truly amazing. Normally, when you purchase something online you tend to feel a little hesitant because you can't actually see or touch the hair, but after extensive research and multiple consultations with my stylist (shout out Chelsey Taylor!) I have found my go-to's. Bellami Hair offers thick, 100% remy human hair, double drawn clip in extensions that I can wear up, down, or like I have here; a side pony with multiple 'flips.'

To achieve this look curl your hair and your clip in your extensions. Pull your hair to one side:
1) Secure it with a tiny elastic in a low side pony.
 2) About 2-3 inches down secure another tiny elastic around the ponytail.
3) Take the portion of hair in-between the two elastics and split it, pulling the bottom of the pony through the split. (here you can tug on it with your fingers to make it appear thicker)
4) Repeat steps 2&3 one more time about two-three inches down from first 'flip.'
I am wearing the 120 gram, 18 inch clip in hair extensions in chocolate brown. The best part is, I'm not even using all of the wefts for this look! It's that much hair.
As I mentioned earlier, I rocked this 'do to my friend Kristin's baby shower over the weekend, and from what I can tell it was a major hit. I can't wait to share more Bellami inspired styles with you soon! In the meantime tell me, would you rock extensions? How would you wear them?

Overdressed

What's better than a daddy/daughter date to Dodger Stadium you might ask? To be honest, not much. Savvy lives for those weekend games where she gets to run around on the new play equipment, get a Dodger Dog, talk Cory out of ice cream and who knows what else! *Oh, and maybe watch some of the game too. This particular game happened to be right after church on Sunday, so naturally Savannah rocked her tutu dress from earlier that morning. Slap on a Dodger hat and she's ready to go! One thing is for sure, this girl is definitely overdressed for a ballgame, but Savvy (much like her mama) wouldn't have it any other way.
